Leading Sweat Workers

One of the chalenges in a developing country is leading a bunch of people with minimum intelligence. The other word is using only for their muscle. These type of people is the most common to get. They are usually like to work in groups and despise the thinking mode. Some of them also despise change.

As we all know, change is needed to get a business bigger. Their reluctant to change will affect the growth of our business. Which is why sometimes we need to persuade them to follow the change.
There are actually many reaction to it. Some will just ignore it. To these kind of people we need to explain that change is mandatory, either you change or get out. And another will resist it. To these kind of people, you need to ask them why they resist. Most of the time, they don't have specific reasons to resist it other than the unwillingness to change. Once the purpose of the change is explained, most of them will just follow the lead.

Which type of people do you lead now?

Leading in a new office

What's the difference between a newbie and a leader newbie?

A lot of people always fell nervous when entering a new environment.
No matter how experienced, prepared a person is.
There is a mixed feeling of worry, excited, optimism...

Because we might never know...
What lies behind that door of our new office.

For a newbie, it would take only some time in the morning to adapt
Because someone will come and take your fear away ;p
I mean someone will come and teach you how things are done
And you can at first just follow orders
Everyone will welcome you and emphaty and bla bla bla

Now,
What will happen if you are their new boss?
You are expected to know better than they are..
But you're still all new about the line of business
Some people will treat you nicely because you're the new boss
But in the back, who knows..

The office politics will exploit the new wave
Then start the new game...
Treat them nicely but not too nice.
Treat them with respect.
And the most important thing is never and never make allies with one group of the employee
Keep yourself in a neutral position

Because the main difference between a newbie with a leader newbie is
A newbie gets someone teaching them how things are done
while a leader newbie alias the new boss...
had to learn by themselves how things are done and if they can, make them better.
And managed a lot of people who thinks they know better than you

That is not an easy tasks
But you can't expect to do easier stuuf in the higher position, right?
No matter how tough it may seem, if you are in that position, that means the big boss see something in you that's good enough

So keep fighting for that ...
